WhimSiClips are a true innovation in the clip world. No metal springs, no rust, no broken plastic and no hard pinches! The all-silicone design makes these clips perfect to use around babies and young children, with endless applications from stroller clips to fort building. The patent pending silicone spring has a strong hold yet it’s more gentle on little fingers and almost impossible to destroy – the clips even survived getting run over by a 30,000 lb wheel loader!

The Backstory

Working with a father and daughter start-up, this was both an exercise in product design as well as brand naming, brand development and production consultation. What started with an idea to shape the clips as Blue Footed Booby feet expanded into a full animal-inspired toddler collection (Panda Paws, Froggy Feet and Blue Footed Booby) as well as an elements collection for baby (Earth, Water, Wind and Fire).

From Invention to Final Product

Through thoughtful design details and textures to the cheerful color palettes for each collection, these clips were created to launch the brand with a strong statement. Unique, ownable and recognizable forms were developed and refined to give this invention the impact and presence it deserves in the marketplace. The two launch collections are only the beginning – more designs are currently in the works!
