A sleek and sculptural collection of outdoor furniture offering strength and durability for a range of environments. Crisp lines and soft forms, folded and flared, animate this series with a light, airy quality.
The formal language was inspired by succulent leaves, with crisp edges and a thicker interior. This geometry drapes into shape, almost suspended in space.
Made of one-piece, rotationally molded, specially formulated, high density polyethylene, the collection is very durable and fully recyclable.
Designed at Karim Rashid Studio.
Creating a Statement
The Jux Collection was designed as part of the launch of Tonik, a brand new all American-made contemporary furniture brand. The focus was on creating statement pieces that can energize many different environments, and compete with the more established European brands in the roto-molded furniture space.
Process Sketches and Renderings
The forms were meticulously 3D modeled to achieve a fluid aesthetic while creating comfortable sitting positions, hidden footrest, pick up edges and water drainage.
