This silicone travel box is an all-in-one feeding + storage system that helps families pack, transport, and serve baby’s meals when away from home. With designated spots for food strips, cubes, and purées, it supports self-feeding routines wherever baby goes (including daycare, restaurants, and more).

New Angles of Innovation

The sleek, flush lid design stands apart from other to-go food containers and allows the travel box to be stored in any orientation, including on its sides! The lid offers dual leak protection with a snap fit on the perimeter, as well as an additional lock for the central sauce/purée compartment. The lid’s inner details also minimize transfer of moisture from one compartment to another.

Iterative Design and Prototyping

Overall, this project was a classic example of iterative design, going through multiple rounds of samples and testing in order to optimize usability, all while maintaining a clean and sophisticated aesthetic. As always, when working with silicone, a fine balance had to be struck between ease of use (can the lid be applied and removed with one hand?) and functional requirements (can the lid seal each compartment?). Prototyping in silicone and user testing was key to striking that balance.
